Debbie has a strong career in the events and marketing industry spanning over two decades, within the not-for- profit, private and agency sectors. Her experience includes organising and promoting large scale public events attracting thousands of visitors through to high-level niche events for the major donor and finance sector. Her portfolio includes exhibitions, conferences, recruitment events, learning events, networking events, team-building events, product launches, corporate events, awards ceremonies and charity fundraising. She also provides training on successful event management and promotion.
Julian worked briefly in the human resources team of a national children’s charity, before joining a charity recruitment company (where he met Debbie) as a recruitment consultant in 2001. After more than a decade spent in recruitment, Julian has advised hundreds of clients on thousands of appointments, and managed several large- scale, national recruitment projects. As well as recruitment, he also specialises in redundancy outplacement workshops, salary and benefits benchmarking and other related project work, and speaks at various events about recruitment topics, works as a careers coach and teaches interview skills.
Alex is I Am’s resourcing executive – a wide-ranging role that involves him in the process of recruitment, marketing, and administrative responsibilities.
Before joining the I Am group, Alex gained experience at a social enterprise consultancy that worked with charities to improve their efficiency and impact. With a passion for international affairs, Alex has a particular interest in international development, and has worked as a researcher at an international affairs think tank.
In his spare time, Alex attempts to learn the Russian language, is an aspiring photographer, and a not-so-aspiring squash player
Christian is a recruitment specialist with particular responsibility for finance, business development and operations posts within professional membership bodies. Christian is passionate about sports and working with young people.
As a teenager, Christian spent four years in a full-time tennis program at the famous Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Florida. He graduated early and enrolled straight into Stirling University in Scotland, studying Business, as well as Economics at VSE in Prague.
In his professional career he has worked for financial companies before using his entrepreneurial spirit in starting a couple businesses, including a recruitment company and tennis camps for young people with a special focus on concentration and mental training. Christian joined the I Am Team in October 2014 and feels lucky enough to say “it’s a job and team I truly love!
In July 2014, Jack joined the I Am Group as a recruitment specialist, focusing on database, IT and Marketing and Communications. Having previously worked with a start-up organisation that aimed to help boost young professionals’ employability and explore alternative paths to employment, Jack brings a unique and creative approach to the recruitment world.
With a particular interest in the topics of Youth, Education and Globalisation, Jack has spent a year as an English teacher in China, has led a project in Mumbai in support of an ‘International Day For Street Children’ and has organised – and sat on – a panel discussion hosted at Europe House that aimed to answer the question: Youth, Talent and Enterprise: Seeds of discontent or architects of a better future?
In his spare time, you can normally find Jack searching for new music, playing some form of sport, watching a documentary/film that takes itself too seriously, or attempting to play the guitar.
Minhal joined the I Am Group in June 2015 as a Marketing and Communications intern, primarily focusing on the social media aspect of the business. Minhal is currently a student at University College London studying Information Management for Business – giving her the knowledge on both IT and business elements.
Having lived in the Philippines, Minhal participated in various charities and was also the Head of Special Projects for her local Red Cross. In addition, she had initiated and managed a project where her and her team fundraised for items and decorated a day centre for underprivileged children in Tondoy, Philippines.
In her spare time, Minhal enjoys travelling and taking photographs of her adventures.
