Charity & Non-Profit Drinks & Networking: The Power of Storytelling

May 31 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

31st May | 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Join us for our regular charity and non-profit drinks and networking event, where you’ll be guaranteed an interesting, fun and sociable evening!

We’ve been running these for more than 5 years now and know how to bring people together for a relaxed and interesting evening. Whether you come alone or with colleagues and friends, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our wonderful facilitators, who will introduce you to members of our community.

Guest talk: The Power of Storytelling

Back by popular demand, Lucy Gower will be running another talk on The Power of Storytelling. Whatever your role or level, you will need to be able to influence; whether it is your manager or colleagues about your new ideas, funders to invest in your organisation or supporters to campaign, volunteer or raise awareness. People take action because they have an emotional response to something they see or hear.  Storytelling is already within your DNA, human beings learn and remember through story. It is also your most powerful influencing tool because a story told well evokes emotion. In this session you will learn how to hone your storytelling skills to help you engage and inspire your audience.

If you’re interested in finding out more about storytelling as an essential communication tool, Lucy Gower will be running another successful in-depth workshop on 23 June. Find out more here.
